" Malcolm's Reading Room opened its doors on Thursday, December 13, 2007 at 10:00AM.  My husband Courtney and I decided to name the store after our son Malcolm so that he will grow up knowing that he has legacy.  The store is located in the heart of the 4th Avenue Business District/Civil Rights District because we felt there's no better place to teach our son about his history, as well teach others about African-American literature, music, moveis, art, and life.  Malcolm's Reading Room is more than a book store, we are a lifestyle store that hosts events centered around not only books, but movies, music, and community.  We look forward to seeing you soon!  Knowledge and blessings!"
